What Is Job Development at IES?
Job Development is one of the cornerstone services we offer at IES. It’s a personalized, client-centered process designed to connect individuals with meaningful employment that reflects their skills, interests, and goals.

How the Process Works
Our Job Development program is designed to guide each client through every stage of their employment journey, from discovery to success on the job. Here’s how we do it:
1. Discovery & Intake
We begin with an in-depth intake session to learn about each individual’s background, strengths, interests, experiences, and goals. This helps us create a custom employment roadmap.
2. Personalized Job Matching
Using the information from intake, our certified employment specialists identify job leads that align with the client’s passions and abilities. We match people to careers, not just open positions.
3. Employer Advocacy
We don’t wait for opportunities—we create them. Our team actively advocates for our clients, building relationships with inclusive employers and helping them understand the value of hiring individuals with diverse abilities.
4. Interview Preparation
Confidence is key. We provide coaching on resume development, mock interviews, workplace etiquette, and soft skills to ensure our clients are prepared and polished.
5. Placement & Support
Once placed, we stay involved. We help with onboarding, facilitate communication with supervisors if needed, and offer coaching to ensure long-term success.
6. Ongoing Check-Ins
We believe in progress over perfection. Our team continues to check in with both the employee and employer to troubleshoot challenges, celebrate wins, and provide additional support as needed.
