At Independent Equality Solutions (IES), our mission is rooted in one powerful idea: everyone deserves the opportunity to live, work, and thrive with dignity. Since our founding in 2017, we’ve been proudly serving individuals with disabilities across 24 counties in Ohio, helping them unlock their full potential through meaningful employment, supportive services, and individualized care.
Who We Are
IES is a certified DODD provider and approved Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) vendor, committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered services. We take a holistic approach to support, focusing not just on job placement, but on building the foundation for long-term success in life and work. Our team includes certified employment specialists, job developers, transportation coordinators, and caring professionals who advocate fiercely for our clients.
At IES, we believe independence comes through equality—and solutions come through empowerment.
What We Do
Our comprehensive service offerings are designed to meet people where they are and walk with them toward their goals. Whether it’s entering the workforce, gaining life skills, or overcoming accessibility barriers, IES is here every step of the way.
Here’s a breakdown of our core services:
1. Job Development
We don’t just find jobs—we build futures. Our Job Development program matches individuals with long-term, meaningful employment opportunities tailored to their interests, strengths, and goals. We support clients from initial intake to interview prep, placement, and beyond.
2. Career Exploration
For individuals unsure of which career path to pursue, our Career Exploration services provide guided discovery through assessments, job shadowing, and hands-on experiences. We help uncover strengths and passions that lead to purpose-driven careers.
3. Community-Based Assessments (CBA)
Our team works alongside clients in real-world environments to evaluate skills, identify accommodations, and determine the best support strategies. These assessments help shape personalized employment plans and highlight abilities in action.
4. Job Coaching
Through on-site, one-on-one coaching, we help individuals build confidence, navigate workplace expectations, and sustain success on the job. Our coaches work closely with employers to create inclusive, productive environments.
5. Work Site Adjustments
We collaborate with businesses to modify workspaces and workflows to ensure accessibility and comfort for employees with disabilities. From ergonomic tools to sensory accommodations, we make work… work for everyone.
6. Homemaker/Personal Care (HPC)
Our HPC services provide essential daily living support, including hygiene assistance, meal prep, household tasks, and community integration. Every care plan is customized with dignity, respect, and independence in mind.
7. Non-Medical Transportation (NMT)
Reliable transportation is vital. Our NMT services ensure individuals can safely and consistently access employment, appointments, and essential community activities with dependable support.
8. Summer Youth Work Experience (SYWE)
For students and young adults, SYWE provides hands-on, paid work experiences during summer months to build practical skills, explore careers, and foster early independence.
The IES Difference
What sets IES apart is our heart for people and our relentless pursuit of equity. Every service we offer is backed by a belief in empowerment through action, support through structure, and success through connection.
We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach—because our clients aren’t one-size-fits-all people. We meet each person as an individual, with their own strengths, challenges, and goals, and build a plan together.
Join Us on the Journey
Whether you’re someone seeking services, a caregiver looking for support, or an employer hoping to build a more inclusive workforce—we’d love to connect.
At IES, we’re not just building services.
We’re building possibilities.
